Hi Guy's,

We are operating a 20 team contract league, very heavy into prospects. We are all baseball junkies, that just love to trade & keep things on the move, with a lot of conversation & back & forth.

Here are some URL's (from the NCML) & other dope on what this league has to offer. John Cassiello is the commissioner & will not own a team, which will give him plenty of time, to stay on top of things & keep us moving in a positive direction. So far we have signed only owners some of us have played with before. They are all very good. If you're interested, let me know, since I'm handling the recruiting, end of things.

The advantage to the NCML, would be, it's 1 year ahead of the NCML 2, therefore you would see better FA sooner.

The new league is a Scoresheet League. This will be the main aspects of the league, but it will be very involved with a ton of new twists.

* If you'd like a real challenge, are interested in building a franchise (rather than just a team) & are really into MiLB, the NCML is for you.

* It will be a contract league, with 45 years to doll out to your players.

* 8 teams will make the playoffs. 4 division winners & 4 wild cards.

* We will have a bi-weekly waiver wire add / drop. There will not be any supplemental drafts, like most SS leagues. It would be held like a mini draft, through the Scoresheet draft site. It would operate on a worst to first scenario, for each said period. It would be limited to 3 waiver claims, per period & be available up until Scoesheets trade deadline.

* We would hold a yearly 4 round amateur draft, every August or September. After the owners know if the amateurs actually signed and after they've played a month or so. In that way you can have some idea just what you're drafting.

* You will be able to keep 15 MiLB players on the farm. There will be no penalties levied for keeping MiLB players. No loss of draft picks or anything else. They will be yours to trade or keep and develop. The only stipulation will be, before the draft next year, if you currently have more than 15, you'd have to drop some to get back down to 15.

* Once your MiLB players join your roster and lose there rookie status, after a certain amount of IP or AB, they will be yours for 3 more years. You would have to sign them to a contract before their 3rd year kicked in, or lose them to free agency, at the conclusion of the 3rd year. With this rule, you'd have a fairly good idea, whether or not they would be worth signing to a contract. All MiLB players are absolutely free. They are not yet signed & therefore DO NOT count against your contract yearly totals.

* Every owner can have 1 franchise player. Franchise players are yours to keep and are completely free. The contracts they are signed to, DO NOT count against the allotted years, which gives you more years to doll out to other players. You may sign them twice, to maximum 6 year contracts, which means the longest you can keep a franchise player is 12 years. Your best player costs you nothing.

* The contracts, per player, are limited to a maximum of 6 years. However the more players you give a 6 year contract to, the less you have for other players. This will be a thinking mans league.

* All unsigned players are automatically signed to one year contracts. Any player having just one year left on his contract, also DOES NOT count against your total contract years, but will become a FA, at the end of that year.

* We have 40 man rosters, which must be adjusted before the next scoring period, if you've made lopsided trades. There are only contract year limits, before the following season begins. So you could trade a player signed for 5 years for one that is signed for less or more.

* Of course you will be able to make all sorts of trades, but will have to take into consideration, the # of years left on the contracts of the players you're trading for and receiving. You can also trade your Franchise player.

* With 20 owners and all of the Major & MiLB players being kept, there wouldn't be much to pick from at the beginning of year 2. Going into the 3rd year it would be a better draft and after the 3rd year, it would be amazing, with a lot of players being signed to 3 year contracts, becoming FA. You will see players becoming available , you would never see in a normal SS league, as the contracts started expiring. In years 4, 5, & 6, etc., it just gets better & better.

There are still 3 teams available, that made last years playoffs. The following are just some of the key players on each orphaned team:

Team #6 - J, Zimmermann, T' Ross, Ad. Gonzalez, Kinsler, Ad. Russell & Gi. Stanton.
Team #8 - C, Archer, Ca. Carrasco, A. Cobb, Ed. Encarnacion, Ky. Seager & Ca. Gomez.
Team #9 - S. Strasburg, Appel, De. Holland, Swihart, Fielder, Ca. Santana, Dozier, Altuve, Jo. Iglesias & J. Bruce.
Team #10 - Teharan, Crick, Nicolino, Nola, Rizzo, Longorea, K.Calhoun, L. Cain, Al. Gordon & Al. Almora.
Team #14 - Ro. Stephenson, Ch. Heston, Ryu, Ar. Chapman, Posey, Votto, Cano, Zobrist, Br. Crawford, Ja. Bradfley, Aa Judge & Do. Santana.

Each of these teams have a lot more quality MiLB talent. I really hope this interests you. I'll be looking forward to your reply. If you do decide to join our league, I will send you our constitution.
