Hey guys:
AL Big Unit: [
www.scoresheet.com] ... has an opening for Team 8, which has an interesting collection of young talent, I think.
Some things about the league:
-Private league, founded in 2008, and every team was able to draft one NL player in the initial draft. (I took Ryan Howard, regrettably.)
-Winner (and in fact all playoff teams) win money. All teams put $200 in at the beginning of the season; winner gets $1200, runner-up $600, wild card teams $300 each.
-We expanded from 10 to 12 teams last offseason, and have an active group with an email draft, which helps keep the trading activity and communication high, we think.
-Mostly normal rules: 13 keepers, unlimited prospects at the back of the draft, the usual. We still do three supplemental rounds (36-38, 39-41, 42-44) instead of the newer five-round system.
And I'd add that we want someone on this team soon so we can trade with you. (I want Roogie Odor, for instance.) If you have any questions, let me know:
