and/or promising hurlers including H-J Ryu, Matt Cain, Dillon Gee, Tom Koehler, and Wade Miley.
Several highly regarded position players (1B Votto, SS Simmons, OF Pence). All keepers slots
and draft picks retained (except rnd 25), including the overall #4 2015 preseason player draft pick.
Weaknesses:
Injured, under-performing stars such as M Cain, Jarrod Parker, Joey Votto, and Andre Simmons.
Relatively few blue-chip prospects.
Outlook:
A return to championship level (2013, 99-63) is possible if key players regain their health or
prior form, and several up-and-comers break-through in 2015 (Alcantara, 2B-OF, Cubs;
Pollock, OF, Diamondbacks; Delgado, P, Diamondbacks).
