Opening in NL Sandy K

Hello,

NL Sandy K is the most active league I've ever been in (and I'm currently in 6). The owners are always willing to trade and are very responsive. It's also fairly competitive, but there is a mix of scoresheet experience among the owners. We've had steady ownership since its inception in the fall of 2008, but we are losing 2 owners (for personal reasons) and are now looking for 2 active owners.

The league has 12 teams, three divisions, one wild card. Divisions rotate yearly based on previous year's regular season records. We have an email draft in late-February/early-March and do the supplemental drafts by email, too. We use mostly standard scoresheet rules (13 keepers plus unlimited rookie keepers and max two XOs), though each team drafted one ALer the first year, which is why Josh Hamilton and Sabathia are on the available teams... We also have a prize pool of $200 per team - all of which goes into payouts to places 1-4 (40-30-15-15).

The 2 available teams can be competitive quickly -

#8 Diablos: Won a weak division this year (82-80) and lost in 7 games in the playoffs. Stars include Halladay, Lincecum, Lowe, Webb, Anibal Sanchez, Josh Hamilton, Ryan Howard, Kelly Johnson, Jayson Werth, Casey McGehee. Quite a pool of talent for now and the future -

#2 Big Knockers: A bit of a rebuilder (73-89), but with an outstanding top three in the rotation: King Felix, Hanson, Cain. Dempster, Pedro Alvarez, Derrek Lee, Tyler Colvin, Neil Walker.

As mentioned above, this is a very active league, so if you like to mix it up or if you just want to swap out some of these guys, you will be able to do it. Last fall, we had a flurry of a dozen trades in less than a week at one point!

If you're interested, please let me know. Happy to answer any questions you may have.

Best,
David Gordon (deg23deg@earthlink.net)
