I'm a scoresheet veteran of many years, too many leagues to be honest, but they all have the same problem in my opinion - 13 keepers is too limiting to me. A soft keeper league is a league where there are no minimum or maximums on keepers. If you want to just keep 8 players, you can start drafting in round 9. If you love your team or your platoons or your bullpen, keep 20 players and you pick up in round 21. I feel this helps bad teams get better quicker (you aren't forced on keeping marginal players or forced to trade keeper slots) and better teams don't have to trade for slots - you keep who you want to keep. Jefff says he can handle this type of draft. The only real rule I'd have is that only Jeff at scoresheet would know the number of keepers until after they are all submitted each year so that one owner can't wait to see how many are being kept and then using the old Price is Right trick to go $1 lower, or in this case protect 1 less player in order to get a first pick and snag some Japanese import becoming eligible.
If you are interested (need at least 16 for the league) hit me up.
