NL Rising Phoenix is a root league. The rules require each team to have at least 7 root players and an additional 7 players (that may or may not be from the root team). We save 14 players each year. Each team may, but need not have up to 15 minor leaguers, 10 of which must be root minor leaguers (without loss of rounds 35, 34, etc.) and five (5) of which may be root or non-root minor leaguers (without loss of rounds 35, 34, etc.). There are rules allowing you to restock your root players and root minor leaguers from unprotected players. Three cross-overs are allowed. The first and second amateur draft players drafted by your root team are assigned to the team each year. SS rules apply except as noted in the Constitution. SS web-based drafting is used for the spring drafts and supplemental drafts.
