I am looking to gauge interest in a new Scoresheet CONTINUING COMBINED ROOT league. While admittedly stealing some of Joe Dunn's ideas from a previous post I would hope to add a few wrinkles. Some of the proposals are....
--A 12 team BL combined league in which each owner would pick 2 MLB teams, one AL team, one NL team in a 2 round email snake draft.
--Initial rosters would include your choice of 11 players combined from your root teams. You could choose 9 from one team and two from another or any combination totaling 11.
--A minor league roster of 15 players of your choice combined from your root teams.
--There would then be a standard Scoresheet tool draft of rounds 12 thru 35 with ALL UNCHOSEN players available. Veterans, rookies, players from your root team, players from other root teams and those from unaffiliated teams. (Remember that with 12 owners choosing two root teams each there will be 6 MLB rosters totally available.)
--3 divisions of 4 teams each. Division winners and 2 wild card teams make the playoffs.
--To discourage late season tanking next years non playoff team draft order will be determined by BEST to WORST records AFTER July 4 with BEST non playoff team second half record getting the top pick.
--Best of all....UNLIMITED TRADING IS ENCOURAGED ALL YEAR. Players for players, players for picks etc.
You will even have the option to TRADE ONE OR BOTH ROOT TEAMS DURING THE OFFSEASON. Simply find a willing partner and swap root players!
--Several other different wrinkles. A prize pool can be considered. Also willing to consider any other ideas from participants.
