NL Rising Phoenix has an immediate opening for an interested owner to take over the Los Angeles Dodgers root team (Team 6) and complete this season to be in position for next season early. The current owner is willing to relinquish ownership immediately.
This league is a root league. Each team protects 14 major league players. The spring draft is composed of Rounds 15-35. Each team protects at least 7 root major league players from its presently owned players, or root players not drafted or protected by other teams. The other 7 major league players may be from any team, including the root team. A root player for next season is a player that is on your root team at the end of this year (even if traded in the offseason) or a player who is under contract for next season.
This league allows protection of a significant minor league club without loss of draft picks. A total of 15 minor league players may be protected without loss of draft picks (35, 34, etc.). At least 10 of those minor league players must be root players in order to avoid loss of rounds. You may protect more than 15 minor league players.
All drafts are conducted under basis SS rules and features in addition to the 5 supplemental drafts automatic assignment of the initial two root team amateurs drafted in the annual June amateur draft.
The league allows 3 crossover players to be protected.
