strategy question on closers

Hi folks, I was wondering if someone with more experience in Scoresheet could enlighten me. When drafting relievers do you have to even consider saves? I mean if the pitcher pitches a lot, and has great stats and effectiveness, it seems he would work for the 9th without actually being a real closer. Am I missing something? Thanks, Bob Byrd wAL608
