AL Root Beer is a long-time root league with a stable membership. I can provide the league constitution. We use SS web-drafting and rules, except as noted in the Constitution to accommodate the root league concept. Fourteen (14) major leaguers saved each year. At least seven (7) must be from an owner's root team. The remaining seven (7) may be from any team. Three (3) crossovers allowed. Up to fifteen (15) minor leaguers may be saved, with at least ten (10) being from an owner's root team. The remaining players may come from any team. More than fifteen (15) players kept, or more than five (5) non-root players kept and you start losing picks 35, 34, etc. This type of league allows you to build a minor league system. This league sees a lot of trading each year and owners willing to work with teams to acquire root players.
This team finished second in its division with an 81-81 record. Texas had a down year as we all know. It has 17 eligible minor leaguers to choose from. Major leaguers of interest are (with Texas players marked *):
