Scoresheet Explanation Needed

Hi all,

I am new to Scoresheet and considering trying it this year, but I'm not understanding exactly how it works.

I understand that you choose your team and set your lineup, etc,. but where do the stats come from? Is it completely simulated, or do they reflect the statistics your players put up that day or week?

For example, if Albert Pujols hits two home runs in his game on May 1st, does that mean he will hit 2 home runs in MY game on May 1st? In other words is the idea that the player's actual statistics line up exactly with those that they put up on my Scoresheet team?

Or if it is completely simulated, how does the computer base the projections if it's not looking at past year's data? Does it make decisions based on a player's performance over the last 7 days? How is it different from playing a video game and simulating games?

Just need someone to hit me over the head and hammer the point home to me--

Thanks,
Will
