There is one opening in AL Steve Balboni, a new continuing AL root league. You start with all Scoresheet players listed for your MLB team. We have a preseason draft of five rounds of AL players who are on MLB teams that are not in the league (these players are your outside players) . We then have five supplemental drafts of two rounds each in similar fashion. Any transaction by your MLB team is immediately reflected on your root team's roster. You will be able to protect five of your outside players at the start of the next season.

To keep the league purely AL, any player who moves to the NL is dropped from the league. To maintain the correspondence of MLB and root teams, trading is limited to outside players and draft picks, This is a great league if you have a rooting interest in a team and want to see how you can improve it by your draft selections and managing. It is not the league for you if you prefer leagues that have a lot of wheeling and dealing.

The nine owners are returning veterans of this league format. The following teams are open: Yankees, Indians, White Sox, Twins, Blue Jays, and last but not least, the Astros.
