NL Stan Musial is beginning its second season. It is a unique 10 team root league in that all players on your corresponding MLB team belong to you. Outside players are drafted from NL teams that are not teams in the league. Only outside players can be traded - this preserves the identity of the root teams. We hold a five-round preseason draft and five supplemental drafts of two rounds each.

As we are in the second year, each team at this point has 15 outside players. Prior to the preseason draft, each team may protect up to five of its outside players, up to two of whom may have crossed over to the AL. For each outside player protected, a team loses a preseason draft pick beginning with round 5. For example, if a team protects three outside players, it loses picks 3, 4, and 5. In addition, up to three minor league outside players may be protect without loss of a pick.

The available team is Arizona, which drafts fourth. Its outside players include Headley, Fiers, Grandal, and Alonso. Minor leaguers include Jorge Soler and Carlos Correa.

The current owner Miami is willing to switch to Arizona if someone wants Miami. Miami drafts first and has Gallardo and Garza among its outside players.
