AL Root Beer is a continuing league that has been in existence for many, many years. The league has an opening for Team 5. Team 5 has the Minnesota Twins as its root team. We protect 14 major league players each season (so the draft starts with Rd. 15). Seven (7) of the players must be from your root team and the other seven (7) players may be from your root team or other teams. We protect up to fifteen (15) minor league players. Ten (10) may be from the root team and five (5) from the root team or other teams. No loss of rounds(35,34.....) occur unless either amount is exceeded. The purpose is to build a solid major league root team and minor league root team.
