NL RISING PHOENIX 2020-Team 2 (Colorado Rockies)-Picks first in each round
This root league allows 14 major league players to be protected. At least seven (7) of the major league players must be from the root team. You may keep more players from your root team. A root player is either a player on the root team (here Colorado) at the end of last season or under contract with the root team (here Colorado) for the 2020 season. The remaining major league players may be from any other team. You may protect players on your current roster from the 2019 season, or root players that were on another team or not drafted in 2019. The league allows three (3) crossover players (the presence of certain AL players is because when the league was originally created we drafted one AL player).
You may also protect, without SS penalty, up to 15 minor league players. At least 10 of them must be root minor league players and the other five (5) may be from any team. You may keep up to 15 root minor leaguers. However, keeping more than five (5) non-root minor leaguers causes the loss of a draft round (under usual SS rules), as does keeping more than 15 total minor leaguers. You may add root minor leaguers not drafted or not protected by another team.
We draft under SS rules. However, we automatically add the top two June amateur draft picks to your team each year. Otherwise, we draft under usual SS web-drafting rules. We have one (1) teams available:
Team 2 (Colorado): Among others, this team has (current Colorado player “*”): SP: German Marquez*, Jon Gray*, Chris Sale; C-Kurt Suzuki; 1B: Christian Walker, Matt Beaty (OF); 2B-Ryan McMahon*(3
, Garrett Hampson* (OF), Howie Kendrick (1
; 3B-Nolan Arenado*; SS-Trevor Story*; OF-Charlie Blackmon*; Ian Desmond; David Peralta; David Dahl*
This team has a number of fine developing minor leaguers.
