NL Pedro Martinez, a long-term stable continuing league, originated in 1993, has Team 1 available for a committed owner. The team had an 86-76 2012 record. The league drafts using SS Web-based drafting. We protect 13 players, plus an unlimited number of minor league players using standard SS rules. However, in early January of each year we draft a single player that was not drafted from the prior year NL SS player list (major leaguer or minor leaguer) that becomes a free 14-player for the upcoming year. The Spring draft is run in mid-March until just prior to opening day.
Team 1 has a nice group of minor league talent, plus the following major leaguers available for trade or protection, plus others: R.A. Dickey, Marco Estrada, Kris Medlen, Shawn Marcum, Jaime Garcia, Carlos Ruiz, Ike Davis, Neil Walker, Starling Castro, David Wright, Jay Bruce, David DeJesus, Chris Young, Cameron Maybin and Michael Cuddyer.
