AL-Stengel is a private league that has now completed it's 20th season with Scoresheet.
AL-Stengel follows most of the standard Scoresheet rules with possibly the most notable exception being the allowance of protecting 3 crossovers. We keep 13 players plus unlimited rookies. We allow the trading of draft picks and protection slots. We use the Scoresheet web draft system and follow Scoresheets supplemental draft schedule. We are a 10 team league with both division winners and 1 wild card making the playoffs.
Our league has an opening for a new owner. Team 5 is currently available. It is a definite fixer upper but maintains all of it's draft picks including the first overall pick in our spring draft. There are pieces available that would allow a shrewd owner to rebuild the team via good drafting and smart trading - but it will be a challenge. Team 5 does boast some good young starters to build a future contending staff around, or use as trade bait, including Gio Gonzalez, Derek Holland, Brandon McCarthy, Alex Cobb & Dallas Braden.
