It is a 16-team league and has existed for over 25 years. One of the things we wanted to insure when it was created was that competitive balance would be maintained and we would avoid one or two teams becoming perpetually dominant. This aim was accomplished well because of a unique keeper system. At the end of each season owners create a rank-ordered list of 18 players. The top 3 for each team are automatically kept with the others divided into 4 groups of 5, 4, 3, and 3 players. Then each team loses one randomly-determined player from each group, and those players are added to the draft pool for the coming season. Thus there are always good players in the pool and the weaker teams get a chance to improve. Also each team’s last 4 picks may be used to protect rookies (and they are tradeable), insuring that the annual draft pool will always contain some attractive rookies.
We did not play last year, and have retained the cutdown list from the end of 2019, so there is an unusually rich draft pool. If you are interested, check the listing on [
