BL Pix is still looking for a new owner for Team 14 [www.scoresheet.com]. At the bottom of this message is an outline of our league rules including our unique Keeper system. We did have our cutdown already to give current owners a change to prepare. This was a late opening as my friend unexpectedly passed away early this year. Check out the team on the website and let me know if you have any other questions at scstunners@hotmail.com. The draft will be held March 24th at 9am EST. We use a chatroom along with a couple groups that draft together. The 14 keepers are, 1 Kluber, 1047 Strasburg, 54 Glasnow, 1223 Vazquez, 1356 Barnhart, 1408 Rizzo, 390 Alonso, 418 Merrifield, 1462 Shaw, 490 Mondesi, 679 M. Gonzalez, 1560 Yelich, 1567 Marte, 541 Rosario.

The draft order in each round will be based on end of year record, with 2 exceptions. The teams that are in the World Series will draft in positions #15 and #16 (League Champion), regardless of their final regular season record. We will draft through round 35. Rounds 32 through 35 may be used for drafting a new player on to your roster during the live draft or protecting up to 4 rookies on your roster from the previous year. A rookie is defined by Scoresheet as a player having less than 132 plate appearances or 50 IP ever in the major leagues. Alternately an owner may protect 1 rookie and draft a player with his round 34 pick, or trade these picks (just as any other round) to another owner in the league. Any owner who trades for additional picks in rounds 32 through 35 may use these additional slots to either draft more new players on to their rosters during the live draft or protect more rookies from their previous year’s roster.
III. Player Protection and Roster Reduction

The following format will be used to protect players and reduce rosters after each season.
A) Each team will protect 3 players (Group 1). They can be any 3 players from your roster as of the end of the year and they will be listed in Group 1 (next page) on our player lists. You will not lose any of these players.

Each team will list in Group 2 the next 5 players which they would most like to keep. You will lose 1 of these players. The probability of losing these players ranges from 18% for the first player listed to 22% for the last player listed in this group.

C) Each team will list in Group 3 (see below) the next 4 players which they would most like to keep. You will lose 1 of these players. The probability of losing these players ranges from 23% to 27%.

D) Each team will list in Group 4 (see below) the next 3 players which they would most like to keep. You will lose 1 of these players. The probability of losing these players ranges from 29% to 37%.

E) Each team will list in Group 5 (see below) the next 3 players which they would most like to keep. You will lose 1 of these players. The probability of losing these players ranges from 29% to 37%.

The players whom you lose will be determined randomly. Your player reduction list is due to the commissioner by kickoff time for the Super Bowl in January. If it is not received by that time the commissioner is empowered to form a reduction list for the said owner. The roster reductions will be done using the daily closing value of the Dow Jones Industrials Average (DJIA) the week after the Super Bowl in January. The last 2 digits of the DJIA will determine which players we lose in each category. Tuesday's closing DJIA will determine which player from Group 2 we lose. Wednesday’s and Thursday's closing DJIA will be used to determine which players from Group 3 and Group 4 we lose. I will use the following imaginary team and DJIA data as an example.

Imaginary closing values of the DJIA the week after the Super Bowl:

Tuesday 9,981.55 (value we use is 55)
Wednesday 9,941.08 (value we use is 08)
Thursday 1 10,021.81 (value we use is 81)
Friday 9,957.59 (value we use is 59)

Imaginary Team Group List

Group 1 (Lose 0)
Name Stock Market Range Probability of Losing Player
Ken Griffey Jr. N/A 0%
Roger Clemens N/A 0%
David Cone N/A 0%

Group 2 (Lose 1)
Name Stock Market Range Probability of Losing Player
Vladamir Guerrero 00 - 17 18%
Jeff Blauser 18 - 36 19%
Todd Stottlemyre 37 - 56 20%
Jose Rosado 57 - 77 21%
Eric Young 78 - 99 22%

Group 3 (Lose 1)
Name Stock Market Range Probability of Losing Player
Andy Benes 00 - 22 23%
Nomar Garciaparra 23 - 46 24%
Chuck Knoblauch 47 - 72 26%
Randy Myers 73 - 99 27%

Group 4 (Lose 1)
Name Stock Market Range Probability of Losing Player
Terry Steinbach 00 - 28 29%
Reggie Sanders 29 - 62 33%
Jeromy Burnitz 63 - 99 37%

Group 5 (Lose 1)
Name Stock Market Range Probability of Losing Player
Einar Diaz 00 - 28 29%
Eric Davis 29 - 62 33%
Mark Grace 63 - 99 37%

Using the above stock market data this team would lose:
Group 1: No players as all in this category are protected.
Group 2: Todd Stottlemyre (55 is in his range).
Group 3: Andy Benes (08 is in his range).
Group 4: Jeromy Burnitz (81 is in his range).
Group 5: Eric Davis (59 is in his range).
