This is a league with some unique rules.
No supplemental drafts - we use a free agent system. Each team gets 10 picks it can use at any time between the end of the draft & the trading deadline. The picks are tradeable.
Also, we have a 40-man roster limit - you must release a player to draft one once you're at the limit. We draft to rd 35 in the Spring. We allow 3 Crossovers, which includes rookies and limit rookie slots to 5. This creates a different type of competition. It is hard to compete and hold players for the future when there is a 40 man cap.
The 5 rookie limits tends to limit the strategy of trying to build a team by drafting and holding a lot of rookies. But it also limits who can hoard prospects. The league is more balanced, with more emphasis on winning now. Teams #7, and #9 are available.
All communication is done through Yahoo Groups. We use Scoresheets web based draft.
