Looking for a different type of league where player AAA won’t beat you?
There is a 10 Team BL, with a 50-man roster cap and no drafts. Each owner has one group of three MLB Teams. Any of the players on those 3 teams can be put on the owner’s 50-man roster. So in addition to your Root team you get two more teams. The teams that are available are, as follows:
Team #3 made up of Balt, CWS and Sea
Team #6 made up of MIA, STL and AZ, or
Alternatively, if someone wants the NY Mets, Milw, and SFG, I would switch to one of the above.
Your team can only get two players two ways. One is to select a player that is on one of the three MLB teams in your group. The other is to trade for them, although there has not been much trading. No other owner can pick any of the players on your three teams. In one sense, you would have way more than 50 players protected from other owners.
The reason the roster cap is important is because you can keep those players on your team no matter what. If your real life MLB teams trade players those players change team groups here, unless they are on your Scoresheet roster. The roster is made up of the players you have entered on the web site. If you drop MLB traded players off your roster they revert back to the team group of the real team. There have only been two trades in two seasons, as you have lots of depth.
You can drop someone from your roster and pick another player from your 3 team group any time you want. The Scoresheet “Report a Trade” link allows you to easily move players on and off your roster. You could also trade players who are not on your roster so long as they are on one of the 3 MLB teams you control.
Player AAA has almost no impact. If starters on your real life MLB teams are injured they bring minor leaguers which can be used by your team the next week. The All-Star effect is fairly significant. In a league of All-Stars, the league wide ERA and OPS pretty much the those of the MLB.
