If you are new to Scoresheet, the following may be helpful. Our main difference in rules from Scoresheet at the moment, is in regard to how you can get extra players during the season. Normal Scoresheet leagues have 3-5 supplemental drafts during the season. We give every owner 9 free agent picks that they can use any time during the season until the roster freeze on Labor day. The roster freeze facilitates how Scoresheet handles the playoffs at the end of the season. I have won the playoffs twice. Tom with Team #7 has won at least 3 times.
Strategically, a major difference is that we are a 12 team AL league, which means we draft pretty deep into the player pool. Our preseason draft is 35 rounds. There are 14 - 25 man rosters in the AL. That means we draft more players than will be on the opening day rosters. So having some knowledge of minor players is helpful. All the main minor league players are on Scoresheet's player list. We allow teams to keep 3 NL players, which are called Crossovers. We are a keeper league, which means you keep 13 players from the prior years team. So the draft starts at round 14. You can also keep up to 5 rookies, which are taken off the back end of the draft.
