White Sox’ Resurrection Duo

By Scoresheet_Tom | May 14th, 2012

In 496 ABs last season, Adam Dunn managed a whopping 11 home runs in his first year with the Chicago White Sox. In 2012 he has already reached that level in 150 ABs.

Teammate Jake Peavy hasn’t seen a sub-4.50 ERA since his brief 2009 season. But the Peavy of old has been making regular appearances in 2012, leading to a 4-1 record and stellar 1.89 ERA and 0.803 WHIP.

Both have helped keep the White Sox hovering near .500 and just a few games out of first – not bad for a team not expected to be in the running for a postseason spot according to most prognosticators. No doubt their fantasy owners are much happier this season as well. And add the White Sox brass to that list, given that Dunn and Peavy combine for $31 million in salary this season.
