Michigan Wolverines Up Security:: Buckeyes to Blame

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Bags will be banned from the University of  Michigan‘s stadium for security reasons for the remainder of the 2009 Wolverines football season.   Darn! The Wolverines must have figured out it was Buckeye fans sneaking in bags full of Buckeyes to toss at Meech-i-gan fans.   Please note that I used the word “Toss” because throwing would mean intent to inflict harm!

Actually we have film footage of Wolverines who are disappointed with their team’s recent string of losses against Ohio State.  Those shifty badgers were the ones buying Buckeyes outside the stadium and randomly throwing them!  I bet R-Rod was behind this plot.  He is shifty that way!  We know it was them because no Buckeye would throw a Buckeye at another Ohio State Fan!

Twitter and the NFL :: Breaking Up

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009
Tweeting during the game? That might have been the undoing of the love affair that Twitter and the NFL had just started.  Players were embracing the technology and giving insights during game breaks.  Well, that was until the NFL decided that maybe a little secrecy would keep their game plays safe.
Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco was a big Twitter fan. During games. “”I like it because it gives me the opportunity to reach out to thousands of people at one time.  It gives me a chance to get my story across when something goes wrong . . .  It’s big for me and I’m taking it a step further.”  Hmm, maybe not Chad.
How did the official ban go over with Twitter users? Tweeters had this to say:
@julito77: NFL season starting + checking my twittercasting to not get sued: 1st & [blank] @ the [blank] score is [blank]-[blank] #BanNFL
@thompsonline @ginidietrich Put the habitual bench warmer on Tweet duty but then would you want some of these guys talking about your franchise? #BanNFL
@davevanatter If it’s a choice between twitter or NFL, NFL wins. Sorry #BanNFL

What do you think?  Should players be able to tweet from the sidelines?
