Fact of the matter is Dallas came from behind with barely a breathe left in the game and pulled it off. Romo managed, hurt back and all, to eke out a 10 yard touchdown pass to Crayton and then Spencer pulled off his first ever interception.
Ok, I admit it. I did NOT watch the Cowboys game on Sunday. Now before y’all start throwing stuff at me and calling me all sorts of names, let me explain. It was the closing ceremonies for my 10 year olds softball season and she was getting an award. Some diehard fans are still screaming, “NO EXCUSE IS GOOD ENOUGH!” Get over it.
The real point of this is not whether or not I saw the game; it’s about a win being ugly. Since when do we rate the ‘beauty’ of a win? There were enough interesting things that occurred this past Sunday during the game to keep us riveted to the talking heads for days:
1. “Never Miss” Suisham missed twice,
2. 10 minute delay while the refs argued about in bounds or out of bounds on Campbell,
3. 3 injuries in the first half,
4. Newman’s loving pawing of Campo.
Just to name a few. See…it’s almost like I was there!
Fact of the matter is Dallas came from behind with barely a breathe left in the game and pulled it off. Romo managed, hurt back and all, to eke out a 10 yard touchdown pass to Crayton and then Spencer pulled off his first ever interception. I bet Spencer’s thinking that was pretty darn gorgeous!
Bottom line is…DALLAS WON THE GAME…fair and square, matters not the ‘beauty’ of the win.
And isn’t beauty in the eye of the beholder, anyway?

I can’t say that I am worried about the raiders, but if the offense does not get better soon this well be another wasted season.
Jerry may spend a lot of money, but the right people need to be hired to run the show.
I’m in agreement with my friend Kelley. Do you think the Steelers or the Bengals would have cherished a 1 point one yesterday. Of course they would have! Especially considering they were both significant favorites to win against TEAMS with losing records. You have to remember, that the NFL is the “Best of the Best”. In any given year, over 5 million kids are playing football at some level. There are only 1,166 NFL players. That means only .000232% actually make it to the pro’s. What’s my point, on any given Sunday!!!!
I do agree that Tony does have some issues when it comes to putting the ball on the numbers. He has been throwing high balls now for the last 3 weeks. However, has still found a way to get the “Boys” at the head of the pack in the NFC East. By the way, Romo’s record since he became a starter—–27 wins ans 12 loses.
True, a win is a win. BUT, Tony Romo is not looking like himself and its bringing down the whole team. He needs to figure out whatever is going on in that pitiful loss to Green Bay and that ugly win over the redskins. Wake up Tony! Is their a new “girlfriend” in the stands?
