Braun failed drug test a shocker

By Scoresheet_Tom | December 12th, 2011

It remains to be seen if Ryan Braun’s fight against the recently released news of his failed drug test will succeed. If it does, it’ll be a first. More likely, he’ll be on the hook for a 50-game suspension to start the 2012 MLB season. Neither Brewers’ fans or Braun’s fantasy owners are likely to be pleased by that!

Too bad. From all accounts, Braun is considered one of the “good guys” in baseball. Bright and charming with fans and the media, which may have helped him outdistance the Dodgers’ Matt Kemp for NL MVP honors, Braun doesn’t seem to fit the “mold” of a steroid user. So the news this week that he tested positive for performance enhancing drugs is definitely a surprise.
