Welcome to Scoresheet Basketball, a play-by-mail fantasy game in which you own and operate your own team of NBA players. As a Scoresheet owner, you will draft a team of NBA players, make real trades with other owners in your league, pick up free agents, and decides who gets to play each week, and who rides the pine.

Before the season begins you'll draft individual players from throughout the NBA, putting together your own team of players. Then, each week of the NBA season, your team will play three head to head games against other teams in your league. You'll experience the fun of competing against other teams in your league, and the ultimate hunt for a league championship.

Your players will score points based on their actual stats in that week's NBA action. Every NBA game will have meaning for you - no longer will you just care about your local team. As you watch one of your Scoresheet team's players light up the Mavs for 40 points, or pull down 20 boards against the Pistons, you know they'll be doing the same thing for your Scoresheet Basketball team. And not only will you follow your own players; you will also be looking for players to trade for, or to pick up as free agents. By playing Scoresheet Basketball, you'll enjoy the entire NBA like never before.

All fantasy games are not created equal

At Scoresheet, we have worked very hard to come up with the most complete scoring system possible. In Scoresheet Basketball, your players score points for virtually everything they do - not just when they fill the hoop. Assists, rebounds, steals, turnovers and blocked shots all figure into your player's point totals.

Our scoring system also rewards a balanced team. Having the best shooting team will not be enough alone to win; you'll also need some rebounding, ball handling and defensive points. And the best part is that our computer does all the stat work - all you have to do is enjoy the game!

Unlike fantasy 'pools', Scoresheet has a real draft, where stars like Kobe and Tim Duncan can only be on one team in each league. You will be building realistic NBA teams - this is not a 'pool' or national 'contest', where every owner in your league can have Shaq on their team. At Scoresheet, you will be in your own league with 11 other owners, take part in a real draft, and play realistic games. You will be talking trade with the other owners in your league, not just making deals with a computer.

Weekly Activity

There are no weekly fees in Scoresheet Basketball. There are NO extra charges for trading, free agents, or any depth chart changes!

Your team's weekly reports are sent out promptly every Monday throughout the NBA season. You can get your weekly reports by postal mail, fax or e-mail. With each mailing, we list:

Points scored by every player in your games
Players' complete NBA stats that week
Scores for all the games in your league
Current league standings
Cumulative stats for every team in your league
Top free agents available
Individual leaders by position
News about your league

All player moves are published weekly, including all player trades and free agent pickups. Each week's results also include a list of the top undrafted players, and their season ratings, as well as season ratings for your own players, so you can make comparisons quickly and easily. We also print complete updated team rosters for your league, which include season to date Scoresheet point totals for every player in your league.
